Save Setters
Fostering
Each Setter that enters our program is placed in a volunteer foster home, preferably near the location where the dog was either picked up at a shelter or surrendered by an owner. We do not maintain any centralized facilities because we cover such a large area. On occasion, we may have to temporarily board a Setter until a foster home becomes available. Most of our foster homes are highly experienced and know the Setter breeds.
Foster parents put a lot of time and effort into the recovery of these wonderful dogs, and do it for the love of the breed. Our compensation is watching these displaced Setters blossom into confident, healthy and happy dogs, and the satisfaction of participating in the selection of a wonderful new forever home for their foster dog.
If you are interested in providing a foster home, please fill-out and e-mail, fax, or mail an application to our coordinator, Bonnie Foster. The application is available in WORD and PDF formats. For further information, contact:
